Prefer B- base mat
The Prefer B Polyurethane Mat is a general-use polyurethane surface that is a very economical install choice. The surface consists of EPDM granules blended with polyurethane binders in a special mixing machine. The base mat is applied to the surface utilizing a mechanically operated screed machine that is heated and oscillating to obtain the smoothness and compaction desired by runners. This all weather surface has a long life span and provides an out standing running surface for your athletes. This system comes with our 5-year surface warranty to protect your purchase.
Prefer RC- structural spray system
Texas Sports Builders Prefer RC is a structural spray coating that is topped on to the base mat to create one of the best athletic surfaces available. The sprayed structural surface coating is formed with polyurethane binder and encapsulated EPDM rubber granules that are applied to the surface of the base mat using special airless spray equipment. This method produces a desired textured non- slip running surface that allows athletes to reach their maximum potential. This system allows you to choose the color of your running surface, you can match your school colors or select from our standard colors of red, black, blue, etc. This system is covered by our 5-year surface warranty.
Prefer SW- sandwich system
The Prefer SW is an impermeable synthetic surface derived of a dual layer sandwich like system. The foundation of this system is our Prefer B base mat layered with a composition of EPDM granules of select color mixed with a similarly colored two- component polyurethane which seals on a very durable, textured running surface to the outer layer of your track. In detail; once the base mat is paved into place and cured a sealer is then applied to the surface of the base mat to create the impermeable surface. Our two-component polyurethane coating is then applied and before curing the selected colored EPDM granules are broadcasted on to the surface creating this high performance embedded rubber surface. This system is covered by our 5 year surface warranty.
